As we prepare for winter weather, South Harrison Community School Corporation wants to ensure that all families are informed about our eLearning procedures and expectations. These measures are in place to ensure uninterrupted learning, even during inclement weather.
Live (Synchronous) Instruction
SHCSC will implement live instruction (synchronous) for eLearning days to save our limited asynchronous days in case of widespread power or internet outages. Per state requirements, all K-12 students must participate in at least 50% live instruction during eLearning days.
Teachers will be available throughout the day to answer questions via SHCSC Rooms and email, ensuring students receive the support they need.
How Will Families Be Notified?
In the event of a two-hour delay or eLearning day, families will be notified through:
Email, text, and push notification via the SHCSC app; and
Updates shared with local television news outlets.
To ensure you receive these notifications, please verify your contact information in Harmony Family Access. Accurate phone numbers and emails are essential for timely communication.
