College is expensive and without scholarships and financial aid, South Harrison seniors would have a difficult time pursuing their educational goals or workforce training programs. Fortunately, the Harrison County Community Foundation recently announced the 2023 Lilly Endowment Scholarship application is now available and open for graduating seniors to apply.

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program is a statewide initiative to help raise the level of education of Hoosiers, increase awareness of local community foundations and encourage efforts of Lilly Endowment Community Scholars to engage with each other and with state leaders to improve the quality of life in Indiana.

This scholarship is highly competitive, as only one is awarded among all the high schools in Harrison County. Recipients will receive an award amount of up to four years of college tuition, required university fees and a textbook stipend. Additionally, recipients may attend any public or private, Indiana four-year college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Graduating seniors interested in applying can click here to start their application. All forms must be submitted by 4 P.M. on September 30, 2022.
